Rachel’s Garden Café

Arboretum Home and Garden Heaven, Retail Excellence Ireland’s Company of the Year 2016, is a complete shopping experience, with an award winning garden centre plus interior, kitchen, fashion and pet areas and home to Rachel’s Garden Café. Previously Mulberry’s Restaurant, the café was redesigned in 2012 and named after the owner Rachel Doyle and it is her commitment to the use of local food that is behind the philosophy of the restaurant. “Our chefs are proud that everything on the menu is made using the finest fresh ingredients. Where possible we grow own herbs and seasonal vegetables, and our beef, chicken, lamb, pork and eggs are of 100% Irish origin and sourced from local suppliers and through Bord Bia’s quality assurance scheme.”  A particular favourite served in Rachel’s Garden Café is a dish with beef braised in O’Hara’s Stout which is brewed by the Carlow Brewing Company, only 5 km down the road. The tempting desserts are all made on the premises and all of customers’ special dietary needs are considered with gluten, sugar or dairy free options. Full breakfast is served from 9a.m. and the lunch menu from 12 noon offers an extensive range of soups, salads, daily specials and roast of the day while the dessert counter is filled with tantalising treats for afternoon tea. A full children’s menu is available with a playground and maze just adjacent in the gardens. Full of ideas to inspire visitors, the charming Inspirational Gardens are perfect for a leisurely walk after relaxing in Rachel’s Garden Café.
