Ballykealey House is your perfect location to celebrate your wedding day. Built in the 19th century arising from the marriage proposal of John James Lecky to Sarah Lucia Smith. Built with love; today offers a picturesque and enchanting venue for couples seeking a unique venue to host their wedding.
The venue is available for events who would like the grounds to themselves, but this is not a requirement to host your gathering or event in Ballykealey House. As part of exclusive hire you would have the full venue including the Manor House, Barnyard and all accommodation for your party.

Ballykealey House is nestled beneath the Blackstairs Mountains and is set on 50 acres of parkland, close to the picturesque town of Ballon. The enchanting 19th century Ballykealey House combines history with modern convenience. Following extensive refurbishment, visitors will enjoy the relaxed and refined atmosphere of this premises.
Ballykealey Self-Catering Lodges are a great choice if you are planning a trip to Co. Carlow. The 2-bedroom ensuite two story Self-Catering Lodges, each of which can accommodate up to 5 people, with kitchen and lounge area in all 15 they offer a great rural escape or the perfect base for exploring all that County Carlow has to offer, walking trails, beautiful gardens to family fun. They offer a flexible accommodation option for leisure, wedding or corporate guests.
Each lodge offers two bedrooms, lounge and dining area and can accommodate up to 5 guests sharing. All lodges have been fitted out with modern day furnishings and are spacious throughout. Guests can avail of amenities within Ballykealey House and enjoy lounge food by day and exquisite cuisine at night in the Oak Dining Room.
