Carlow County Council Presents “Embracing Change – Confidence Never Goes Out of Style” in The Step House Borris.
Carlow County Council is delighted to announce an empowering community event titled “Embracing Change – Confidence Never Goes Out of Style,” taking place on Monday, 24th November from 6.30pm to 9.00pm at The Step House, Borris.
This inspiring evening will celebrate confidence, sustainability, and wellbeing, offering attendees an opportunity to connect, learn, and refresh both mind and wardrobe. The event is hosted by Carlow County Council’s Community Section and Climate Action Team and is funded by Carlow County Council and the Healthy Carlow Period Dignity Campaign.
Tickets are priced at €10 (plus a €1.50 booking fee) and include refreshments and entry into a raffle.

Schedule of Events
6.30pm – 7.30pm
Guests will be greeted with arrival nibbles and drinks, enjoy browsing a variety of local stand holders, and take part in a Free Clothes Swap Shop—an opportunity to bring up to five gently worn items and swap them for five others.
7.30pm – Thrive with Lorraine
Nutrition expert Lorraine will host an engaging session focused on nutrition and menopause, exploring how small changes in diet and lifestyle can boost energy, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
8.00pm – Eco Chic Fashion Workshop
Stylist Faith Amond will lead an Eco Chic Fashion Workshop, demonstrating how to revive wardrobes sustainably and build personal confidence through creative styling.

The event will highlight the importance of sustainable living, encouraging participants to make mindful fashion choices and embrace confidence at every stage of life.
The Free Clothes Swap Shop, running throughout the evening, supports the principles of circular fashion—helping reduce textile waste while refreshing wardrobes in a fun, community-driven way.
