Step into a world of colour this Rhododendron Week at Altamont Gardens, where one of Ireland’s finest collections of rhododendrons bursts into bloom.
Wander through the lawns and paths as vibrant clusters of crimson, pink, purple and white rhododendrons create a breathtaking seasonal display.
Rhododendrons were first brought to Altamont over 150 years ago by Fielding Lecky Watson, father of Corona North, who following her death in 1999 passed the gardens to the Irish State.
Guided tours daily at 2 p.m.
