Workshop Description
3, 2, 1… Blast Off at Rathwood! ✈️ STEM Workshop for Kids in Carlow
Join us on 04 October at Rathwood for our high-flying Rocket Races & Bernoulli’s Flying Machines Workshop—an action-packed experience that will send young scientists soaring into the world of aerodynamics and flight science!
Aimed at children aged 5-12, this thrilling session takes learning to new heights. First, children will launch into Rocket Races, designing and testing their own rockets while learning about thrust, pressure, and propulsion.
Then, it’s time to dive into the fascinating world of flight with Bernoulli’s Flying Machines. Using gliders, propellers, and experimentation, kids will learn about lift, thrust, drag and weight.
Each child receives a Junior Einsteins lab coat and goggles to wear throughout the session, making them feel like real aeronautical engineers!
While the children soar through science, parents can relax in Rathwood’s café, browse boutique shops, or take in the surrounding nature on a scenic walk.
Spaces are limited—book today and let your child’s imagination take flight!
