Dive into Slimy Science at Rathwood! ✨ STEM Event for Kids in Carlow
Join us on 05 July 2025 at Rathwood for our Slime-tastic Workshop, the latest exciting installment in our monthly science series. This hands-on, interactive session lets children delve into the fascinating world of slime, exploring intriguing concepts of chemistry and physics in a fun, memorable way.
Young scientists aged 5-12 will roll up their sleeves and create their very own slime, learning about non-Newtonian fluids, stir-thinning / stir-thickening fluids and polymers along the way. Through playful experimentation, children will discover what makes slime stretchy, sticky, and delightfully gooey! They’ll explore different types of slime, understanding how altering ingredients and methods can dramatically change its properties.
Our engaging workshop is carefully designed to ignite curiosity, boost creativity, and foster a lifelong love of science. As a bonus, each child receives a lab coat and goggles to truly feel like Junior Einsteins!
