St Patrick’s Day Parades – throughout County Carlow

Ireland’s national feast day is celebrated throughout County Carlow with a series of parades in honour of St Patrick, the patron saint and national apostle of Ireland. Parades take place in Carlow Town, Graiguecullen, Bagenalstown, Ballon, Graiguenamanagh, Tullow, Borris and Killeshin.

Be part of the celebration at the Carlow St Patricks Day Festival 2026!

Come celebrate along with your local group or club, wear your vibrant colours and sing and dance through the streets of Carlow Town.

There will be a wide range of activities going on throughout the day including live music at the bandstand in Haddens car park and Taylor Swiftly will be taking to the stage after the parade.

The Exchange in Carlow Town centre is going to be a hive of activity with local musicians, bouncing castles, dragon dancers, magicians, photo booth and more fun for all the family. It’s all taking place right here in the heart of Carlow town.

Bands, schools, sports clubs, community groups, voluntary organisations and businesses are invited to participate either with float entries or as walking groups. Final date to register is Friday 6th, March 2026.

Taylor Swift Tribute Act: Taylor Swiftly, An Eras Show will be taking to the stage after the Carlow St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17th 2026. Get ready to Shake It Off and sing along to all your favourite hits as the festival vibes continue long after the last float rolls by.

Parade Information:

Parade assembly will take place from 2.00 p.m. @ Pembroke Carlow with the Parade moving off at 3.00 p.m. sharp.  Walking groups will assemble in Pembroke, Carlow.  Two members to be assigned as ‘stewards’ for the group along the route.

Route: Exit Pembroke via Burrin Street, through traffic lights, Kennedy Ave, Barrack St, Tullow St, Dublin St. and disperse at Post Office junction. (Floats/Vehicles will depart via Burrin St on to Kilkenny Road).

The review stand will be at the Liberty Tree, Kennedy Avenue Carlow – opposite McDonalds.
