The Big Barn Bash – Family Food Festival Saturday, 31 October and Sunday, 1 November 2026.
Carlow County Council, in partnership with Carlow Tourism, Active Carlow and Coppenagh House Farm, is delighted to invite you to the official launch of the Big Barn Bash Festival, taking place on Tuesday, 8th September 2026 at 5.30 p.m. with the support of Failte Ireland.
We are excited to introduce this new Family Food Festival for County Carlow, which will take place in October. The launch event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the festival programme, which includes a brand new 5km Family Fun Run, cookery demonstrations featuring Rachel Allen and Edward Hayden, appearances by local chefs, an immersive food experience area, a dedicated family zone, and a wide range of activities and entertainment for all ages.
Join us to network and gather to hear about the exciting plans for the festival, enjoy light refreshments, and discover how individuals, businesses and community groups can become part of the Big Barn Bash story.
