Participants can choose to walk the entire route, complete the full County Carlow stretch, or enjoy specific sections for a single or multiple day trip.

Modelled on the renowned Camino de Santiago, the Columban Way features a tapestry of historical sites set amidst the landscapes of early Christian Ireland. Begin your walk at the historic ecclesiastical site of St. Mullins, then travel along the tranquil River Barrow to the charming Georgian village of Borris. Continue your journey to Mount Leinster, the birthplace of Columbanus, before arriving at the nearby village of Myshall. Follow quiet country roads leading to Bagenalstown, where the route joins the Barrow Way, ultimately reaching Athy in County Kildare.
