FÉILE AN FHOMHAIR 2020
Féile an Fhomhair is organise by Glor Cheatharlach every year. This year, Féile an Fhomhair is taking place, between Thursday 1st to Thursday 8th October 2020, in various venues throughout the town of Carlow. Féile an Fhomhair, is Carlow’s popular bi-lingual festival, which features events organised in the different locations in Carlow Town. This festival creates a great atmosphere throughout the Town of Carlow. The events organised are varied, including drama, literature, art, music, storytelling, cinema, comedy and entertainment, something for all ages.
Féile an Fhomhair goal is to enrich and promote traditional Irish music, song and dance in the Carlow region. For visiting musicians it offers an opportunity for intimate sessions without the pushing and rushing of a summer festival. The festivals each year gives those involved with the Irish language an opportunity to celebrate the language and culture while also affording the local community the chance to enjoy the various events and celebrations.
Féile an Fhómhair links up with Carlow Tourism for the Carlow Autumn Walking Festival and official walks are organised to many of the wonderful sights and attractions around County Carlow. The latest festival programme can be downloaded from this site.
