Veg Box Scheme & Groceries
Introducing the new Veg Box Scheme straight from the Lisnavagh Walled Garden under the direction of permaculture expert and market gardener, Andrew Jordan. Over the past few months, Andrew and his team have transformed and developed the Walled Garden and now it is entering production stage.
In order to receive a Veg Box, choose your box here. The veg boxes are two different sizes – medium and large ranging from €15 to €20 per box on an occasional, weekly or fortnightly basis. depending on your household demand. We also do bespoke boxes!
How does it work?
Order the veg box and it will be filled up with a variety of whatever is in season providing a choice of local, sustainable food brought to the customer within 24 hours of harvest. You can’t get more local than that!
The range of good quality produce at Lisnavagh is grown without artificial fertilisers, pesticides and other chemical nasties. This ensures you benefit from food grown to CSA (community supported agriculture) network standard, so as to not contribute to the huge tally of food miles created by supermarket produce.
Collection is on Friday mornings and last orders are taken at midday on Thursday so as to have ample time to get harvesting and have the boxes ready for collection.
Lisnavagh endeavour to deliver to local areas such as Tullow, Carlow town and Rathvilly as well as Dublin (using a collection hub) – please ask for further details by emailing here.
So don’t waste any more time and choose your box here! There is also an opportunity to purchase more groceries on their online Farm Shop where they sell other products along with local producers.
If you would like to get more involved as a volunteer please contact events@lisnavagh.com and Lisnavagh will be introducing a more detailed scheme in line with Community Supported Agriculture (CSA).
The folks at Lisnavagh look forward to providing you with quality and sustainable food – spread the word!
