Gaelic Escargot is the first snail farm in Ireland and the only Research & Development Centre for the production of free-range escargots. They are located in Garryhill, Co. Carlow and they have been researching and farming snails since 2013, with a particular emphasis on free-range and sustainable methods. Today they distribute Irish escargots to the food service sector on an international scale. They also provide full mentoring for existing snail farmers as well as to those aspiring, offering snail farming courses, breeding stock and on-going support. To date they helped to create more than 20 new snail farms across the country.
