    Each year Heritage Week kicks off on the third weekend of August and runs until the end of the following weekend. Many national and local community organisations participate by organising events throughout the country.

  • Tinryland

    National Heritage Week – Making Connections

    Tinryland Parish Hall Tinryland, Carlow, Ireland

    To mark National Heritage Week and in tandem with 'Tinryland's Heritage Audio Guide' project, this Photographic Exhibition will capture the locality's rich history, heritage and community past and present.

    The Exhibition will cover Tinryland's Heritage, encompassing the History of its Churches, School, Hall, Sports, ICA, Music, Theatre and all strands of life in the Community. Tracing the role of its people in the 1798 Rebellion and the Famine years, to modern every day life, the Exhibition will be all embracing.

  • Carlow Quakers and the Lecky Watson Connection

    Altamont Gardens Tullow, Co Carlow, Co. Carlow, Ireland

    As part of National Heritage Week 2025, local historian John Smyth will be at Altamont Gardens talking about the Quakers of Carlow and the connection with the Lecky Watson family.
