Chloch-a-Phoill located in Ardistan, south of Tullow, is a large, ancient stone with a six-inch hole at its centre. It is believed to have once been part of a megalithic tomb. For over 2,000 years local tradition held that passing sick infants through the hole could restore them to health.
Accessible from the N81 Tullow/Bunclody Road, approximately 5km from Tullow, well signposted.
