The County Carlow Golf Classic offers a great golfing experience across three outstanding courses — Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club, Carlow Golf Club and Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort over three days. The package includes three rounds of golf, daily lunch for participants, a gala dinner and a substantial prize fund of €7,000, with overall, ladies, daily and mixed prizes for the winning participants. Renowned for its excellent golf, warm hospitality and strong sense of camaraderie, both on and off the course, this classic enjoys a loyal following year after year and promises a memorable experience.
For 2026, the gala dinner will take place in Carlow Town, at the four-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Kilkenny Road, Carlow on Wednesday, 9th September 2026 at 8 p.m. Participants remain free to choose accommodation that best suits their plans.

After your booking: what happens next
You will receive an e-mail confirming your booking along with details of tee-off times each day. The remaining 50% deposit is due by May 31st 2026 if you have not opted to pay your fee in full at the time of booking. Payment of the remaining 50% can be arranged by contacting the Carlow Tourism office on 059-9130411.
Details regarding registration each day and further additional information will be issued in August of this year. We will also secure details of your team players in August. As always we do understand that team players can change at short notice and players names can be changed until your time of registration with our Tournament Director on the first morning of the classic.

Rules and Conditions
• The classic will be a 4 person team event played over 3 courses (Carlow Golf Club, Bunclody Golf
& Fishing Club and Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort) over 3 days.
• Participation is open to Golf Ireland members or teams with official handicap documentation
(worldwide) – verification of GUI membership/handicap required on tournament registration.
• Team members must remain the same over the three days of the competition.
• Mixed teams must be 2 male and 2 female golfers.
• The best 2 scores will count on each hole (stableford format)
• No handicap limits – golfers are asked to play off 85% of your course handicap.
• There will be up to 3 daily team prizes and up to 3 overall team prizes.
• Prizes are not transferable.
• No team can win more than one prize during the 3 days of competition and no overall prize winner
can win a daily prize.
• Overall winners will be the team with highest cumulative score over the 3 days.
• Local rules apply on each course and will be provided on the morning of play.
• There is a limit to the number of participating teams so early booking is advisable.
• The Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter the tournament conditions at any time
without recourse to the players.
• In the event of cancellation an administrative fee of €25 per person or €100 per team applies.
• The Tournament Committee’s decisions are final.
• All prizes will be awarded at the gala dinner on Wednesday evening in the Woodford Dolmen
Hotel, Kilkenny Road, Carlow.
• It is the responsibility of each player to book buggies if required with each golf course directly and well in advance of the golf classic date as buggies are limited.
