Tour of Ballydarton House, Co. Carlow in Association with Historic Houses of Ireland – Heritage Week
Ballydarton House Ballydarton,, Fenagh, Co. CarlowA strikingly inventive Tudor-revival house dating from 1830, lovely Ballydarton was designed by the notable architect Daniel Robertson who was responsible for many fine houses in the south east of Ireland including Dunleckney Manor and Wells House. When writing to Henry Faulkner of the nearby Castletown House in 1835 about Walter Newton of Dunleckney, Robertson wrote: “I hope he has seen my beautiful, my own Ballydarton, that house is my pride”.

Tours of Huntington Castle, Co. Carlow – Heritage Week
Huntington Castle and Gardens Clonegal, Co. CarlowIn association with Historic Houses of Ireland journey into the past with a guided tour of Huntington Castle. Hear stories of its historical occupants, while meandering through passages to the living quarters, formal rooms & even the dungeon home to the Temple of the Goddess & the ancient Holy Well. Outside are Victorian terraces, an ancient yew walk and recently restored 17th century formal gardens which visitors are free to explore after the tour.

Tullow Agricultural Show 2026
