The Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas will mark its eleventh year in 2023, bringing a weekend of stimulating dialogue and discourse, gathering together intriguing international minds – historians, novelists, journalists, film-makers, poets, theatre directors, war correspondents, biographers, artists and political commentators – for a weekend of stimulating dialogue and discussion.
The Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas has become known for its languid and laid-back feel – selected as Best Literary Festival in the World 2019 by the Telegraph and Net-a-Porter.
Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas are happy to bring you another intimate and invigorating weekend, in a place as beautiful as Borris, Co Carlow. Their aspiration is simply that ideas captured in writing of all kinds are exchanged. In this era of anger and misinformation, our speakers – celebrated historians, activists, musicians, journalists, environmentalists and literary minds – will help us navigate these uncertain times throughout the day.
As always at Borris, a convivial atmosphere with good conversation and engaging company is all around you, with a selection of food stands and drink stalls, a coffee hub, O’Hara’s Brewery and local homemade lemonade & elderberry, check their website for details of all the facilities at Borris House of Writing & Ideas
