A Walk – Walk 10 – The Blackstairs Circuit

Starting from the Nine Stones you ascend Mount Leinster in a southerly direction. From the TV mast you proceed onto Knockroe before descending into Scullogue Gap. From there the walk again ascends onto the Blackstairs Mountains with stunning views over Carlow and Wexford before finishing in Knockmulgurry.

Begin your adventure at the iconic Nine Stones as you ascend Mount Leinster, heading southward along the mountain ridge. Reach the RTÉ TV mast which transmits television to the region, before continuing your journey onto Knockroe. From there, descend into the scenic Scullogue Gap, a hidden gem nestled between the peaks. Your trek continues with another ascent, this time onto Blackstairs Mountain, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Carlow and Wexford. The walk concludes in the picturesque Knockmulgurry, completing this memorable route.
