A very special charity event, “Stories” will take place on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow. It will bring together some of Ireland’s biggest names in GAA, media, and entertainment for an uplifting evening of conversation, music, and inspiration.
Stories with Miriam O’Callaghan will feature live chat-show style panels, each exploring themes of resilience and community spirit through real-life stories.
The event is being organised by the family of the late Sharon Brennan, who tragically passed away by suicide in 2025.
“This night is about remembering Sharon in the way she lived -with love, kindness, and positivity,” says Fiona Grace, sister of Sharon.
Paul Brennan, Sharon’s husband, said “We want people to leave feeling uplifted, inspired, and reminded of the power of community. The support from local clubs and people across Carlow and Laois has been phenomenal.”
The show will include appearances from well-known GAA figures, media personalities, and popular online voices. The mix of heartfelt discussion and light-hearted moments promises a night full of emotion, laughter, and hope.
All proceeds will go to Pieta, supporting their vital work in suicide prevention and mental health support across Ireland.
